Posting content that makes you physically cringe because apparently "that's what the algorithm wants" and at this point, you'll do almost anything to stay visible.
Convincing them to enquire. Convincing them to download. Convincing them to buy. Convincing them to sign up. Convincing them your offer is worth it. Convincing them you're the right choice.
Convincing, convincing, convincing…
So you end up doing things you know you shouldn't just to get people over the line:
Paragraph
Offering a discount when someone hesitates, even though you're already undercharging and now you're making even less (but hey, at least they said yes…)
Posting content that makes you physically cringe because apparently "that's what the algorithm wants" and at this point, you'll do almost anything to stay visible.
Toning down your thoughts and personality because god forbid you say something that "puts people off" from buying.
Saying yes to people who are not your ideal client and make you think “ehhh this is gonna be difficult”, but you’ve got bills to pay so can’t be picky, right?
Stretching the truth a little bit (maybe quite a bit) about yourself or your offer because you think it's what your audience needs to hear in order to be interested.

Stretching the truth a little bit (maybe quite a bit) about yourself or your offer because you think it's what your audience needs to hear in order to be interested.
The stage where you're liking each other's posts, leaving the occasional comment, maybe sending each other quick DM’s here and there. You know, all surface-level stuff.
And you're stuck there because you're trying to build a best-friends-I'd-support-you-with-anything relationship through short-form content.
Short-form content basically means your audience has a character limit to knowing you. They’re getting these small, random little snippets but ask them to describe you beyond "oh yeah, they're a [insert what you do here]?" and they'd probably draw a blank.
PerfectlyNinetiesExtralightItalic
They know OF you, sure. But they don’t actually KNOW you. Which means they don’t trust you yet, and they certainly don’t feel comfortable buying from you unless it’s low risk and super cheap.
PerfectlyNinetiesExtralightItalic
And having actual conversations, sharing your cool-as-heck personality, your cool-as-heck stories and showing you’re relatable A-F is going to make that a hell of a lot easier.
Thankfully, long-form content gives you the space to do all that!
Space to tell the stories that make you you. To explain your unfiltered thoughts instead of condensing them into a caption. To show your personality beyond a 20-second scroll where people forget you existed two posts later.
and GET YOU OUT OF THAT SMALL TALK PHASE.
You'll start revealing unexpected details about yourself in your blogs, making them laugh in your emails, gaining their trust, having heart-to-heart moments and before you know it…
We're all yelling 'JUST KISS ALREADY!'
Well, maybe not that because it's probably more of a slow-burn friendship than romance. But you know what I mean, right?
It’s like each long-form piece is a chapter in your slow-burn story with your audience (and at the end of this story, they want to work with you forever and ever…)
(retainers have a 3-month minimum timeline)
Emails are like those small (but essential) relationship-building moments in a slow-burn: unexpectedly running into each other at a coffee shop, sending a "this made me think of you" text, or remembering something about the other character that was only mentioned briefly but means so so soooo much to them.
They’re your way of checking in regularly, sharing what's on your mind, showing you pay attention and slowly (but surely) building trust and familiarity so you become someone they really look forward to hearing from.
Deliverables:
→ 1/2/4 emails/month.
→ Subject + preview lines per email.
→ 1 round of revisions.
→ Slack communication.
Price: £150 per email.
Blogs on the other hand, are like those ‘stay up until 3am’ convos where you get into all the deeper stuff.
They’re where your audience gets to see how your brain works, what you care about, why you do things the way you do, how deep your expertise goes. You can yap, yap, yap for as long as you like, there’s no character limits cutting you off or pressure to keep it snappy. These are the types of conversations that help you go from being liked, to being truly known.
Deliverables:
→ 2/4/6 blogs/month.
→ Basic SEO.
→ 1 round of revisions.
→ Slack communication.
Price: £225 per blog.
Your calendar's filled with clients who actually get your weird jokes and the fact that you have ZERO filter (it’s literally why they want to work with you). They're recommending you to their friends left, right and centre because they can't shut up about you.
When you announce something new, you get "sign me up!" replies and that feeling of panic-scrambling for the next client is long gone because you’re not trying to convince strangers anymore—you've built real connections.
And maybe most importantly, you no longer feel like you’re pretending. Your content matches who you are, and you show up with wayyy more confidence because of it.
Emails AND blogs together make the most perfect slow-burn combo so just tell me how many of each you'll want every month when you enquire, and I’ll whip up a personalised proposal for you.
I’ll ask: do you really want to?
YOU DON'T. That’s why you clicked on this page. No one's going to give you a pat on the back for working overtime just to create content. For having a meltdown because you can’t stop deleting and rewriting your drafts. For posting halfheartedly because the thought of writing as your true self makes you feel weird.
But if you could have a friend show up and handle all of that for you—writing content that sounds exactly like you, helping you build that slow-burn friendship with your audience, giving you back your time so you can focus on your actual work, making you feel more confident showing up online…
You'd say hell friggin' yeah, wouldn't you? Yeah, I know you would.
(and hopefully the friend that’s going to help handle everything I mentioned in the section above)
I might be helping you create a slow-burn relationship with your audience, but that won't be the case for us. I'm going to be all up in your business from the get-go—aggressively third-wheeling, hyping you up, making sure you're not overthinking things, because that's what the bestest of friends do.
(And that's what we're going to be, OKAY. I'm already making friendship bracelets)
As your new best friend and content writer, I'll be the one writing emails and blogs that sound so much like you, you'll probably forget you didn't write them yourself. Pair that with my love for slow burns and a bit of yearning, and it means your content is about to become the kind people obsess over.
Because you might be wondering if this is a ‘hand everything over and hope for the best’ situation. But it’s ABSOLUTELY NOT.
I don’t believe in fully outsourcing content (your audience can totally tell when you've gone AWOL) which is why when it comes to creating your emails and blogs, we’re tag teaming it!

My jobs
It's easier for me to write how you naturally speak when I can actually hear your tone, your energy, how you explain things. Plus, people talk about topics wayyyy more naturally than they write about them, which means I get more out of you, and I'm way more likely to nail your content first time round.
And it's easier for you because you can voice note while doing the food shop, on your hot girl walk, stuck in school run traffic—no need to tire your poor thumbs!
My clients would agree!

On the first Monday of the month, you voice note your content topics to me, giving me a rough guide of what you’d like to be included.

I’ll then use everything you give me (plus anything I already know about you) to write your content pieces.

I’ll send your content over for review on the last Monday of the month. I’ll spend that last week tweaking anything if necessary, then it's yours to post.
Which means when I'm writing your content, I'm also thinking about how it will look on the page. Where to break things up so it’s easy to read, how to format it so people want to keep going, and whether that CTA feels naturally placed or forced.
Basically, your words won't just sound good, they'll look good too!

Slow burns don't work if you rush them. It's the slow pace with all that yearning that makes them *chef's kiss*. They start slow, build momentum, things get SPICY… and then the payoff? HELL. FRIGGIN. YEAH. Immediate 5-star read.
Your content works the exact same way. Which is why all my retainers have a 3-month minimum timeframe. You can’t expect your audience to fall for you after one blog post or a couple of monthly newsletters—real connection takes time!
But if you stick with it, that payoff will be worth it, promise!

We’ll make your slow-burn a 5-star read.
If you fall under any of these, the answer is a resounding YES.
Or if we're talking industries ↓
Book launch strategists, authors , researchers , proofreaders, editors, writing mentors/coaches, author VA’s, literary agents, Bookstagrammers & BookTokers, book cover artists, writing retreat hosts... (literally anyone in the literary world)
Inconsistent posters who know they should show up more but can't seem to find the motivation to.
Overthinking perfectionists with a zillion drafts but still don’t post them because they're not pErFecT.
"Can't be arsed to write" crowd who'd rather do literally anything else than spend time on content.
People posting regularly and doing all the things you're "supposed" to do but still getting crickets.
Overwhelmed-with-ideas club who have no time to execute because your brain's full but your schedule's fuller.

There's something about having a collection of consistent, intentional content that makes you feel LEGIT.
Business doesn’t have to feel like you and your laptop. Building a community of people who support you and hype you up IS possible.
More aligned clients, more projects that get you excited, less content frustration, less selling dread (shall I keep going?)
Ask nicely and I might just do this for ya, too!
I followed someone solely because she talks about her cute-ass cats. Now I always reference her blogs and content when I’m wanting to write any form of website copy.
Another time, I found someone through word of mouth and ended up working with her a few months later. Not just because she was amazing at her job, but because
she was also a reader and crocheter and anyoneeee who does those two things is my kind of person.
My point being: ANYTHING, even the stuff you think is boring or super mundane, can become fun, humanised, audience-connecting content. Especially when you know how to spin it. (And lucky for you, I ALWAYS know how to spin it. Case in point)
And the most asked question
Can I use my podcast/YouTube videos instead of voice notes?
Absolutely! If you’ve got in-depth long form recordings that you can give me each month—YouTube videos, podcast episodes, masterclasses—then I can take blog/email topics and content from there instead (I will still confirm the topics with you before I start writing though!)
Do you have word count limits?
I don’t have word count limits for emails. Some will be long, some will be short. I’m not one for adding unnecessary words or removing perfectly good ones just to keep inside a number.
As for blogs, due to their more in depth nature, I typically write around 1,000-1,500 words per blog. Again, they might be slightly longer or shorter depending on the content. If you require longer blogs of 1,500+ words consistently, there may be an additional charge.
What if I need extra blogs or emails one month?
No problem at all, just let me know before the start of the month and I’ll send over a separate invoice for them.
What if I'm not ready to commit to 3 months?
I get it, three months feels like a big commitment. But slow burns take time. Three months gives us enough runway to actually build a bit of momentum with your audience, find our rhythm together, and see some results.
But if you're not sure, you can totally subscribe to my newsletter first (scroll to the very bottom of the page to sign up, or click the ‘Subscribe’ button in the webpage header). Consider it a test drive. You'll get to see how I write before committing to anything!
What type of emails do you write?
Any type! Promotional, structured monthly newsletters, storytelling ones that feel more like 'biiitchhhh guess what just happened' group chat updates… it’s always up to you!
You don’t have to stick to the same type of emails each month either. You can send two storytelling emails one month, then two promotional emails the next. We’ll write what makes sense for you and your audience at the time.
Once I've submitted my enquiry, what will happen?
After you fill out the enquiry form. I’ll get back to you with some follow up questions, or if I don’t have any, we’ll jump straight to the proposal/quote part.
In the proposal will be a video of me yapping (probably about how excited I am to work with you) so you can see I’m a real person and get my vibe as I don’t offer discovery calls.
You can then take a look through the proposal which will have a ton more info about working together, choose your package and any addons, before being automatically taken to your contract. Once signed you’ll be taken to your deposit invoice. And once paid, we are officially best buds who work together.
P.S. If you're one of those people who absolutely needs a discovery call before committing, just mention it when you enquire. I'm not gonna let that be the thing that stops you from getting your content sorted!
If you're still on the fence and want a live demonstration that I'm not just talking the talk, subscribe to my newsletter: Long Story Longer.
Every week, I send an email that's basically everything I've been talking about on this page—storytelling, personality, connection-building, all of it. It's my way of practicing what I preach.
Consider it research. (Or free entertainment!)
